Scripture: Revelation 2:17
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
Observation: All should listen to what the Spirit shares. In following his guidance, those who listen can overcome and share in a true life.
Application: I’m not sure exactly what each of these things symbolizes, but I can only imagine they are great gifts from the Lord to those who follow Jesus Christ. How exciting to receive this hidden manna and a secret new name in His perfect timing. And Jesus has already paid the price so that I can overcome.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, in my reading today of Ezekiel and Revelation I came across so much mystery. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to overcome this world so that I may, too, just in believing and following Him. This gives me great hope for what is to come. Please continue to teach me and guide me.
