Scripture: Romans13:13 (partial)
We should be decent and true in everything we do, so that everyone can approve of our behavior.
Observation: Do the right thing. You are representing Christ.
Application: Everything I do should pass the Conversation with Christ test. If I was talking to Jesus, I would want to be able to talk to Him about anything I do openly and know my actions would meet His approval. If they wouldn’t, then I should change my behavior.
No, I am not expected to be perfect. That is impossible. But I can be closer to that ideal if I at least strive for it and make corrections where I know I can.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for this reminder. Guide me in weighing my actions and motives so that I can be more honoring to you.
