I LLLLOOOOVVVEEE my hot rollers. I’ve hardly made it through a day without them since my mom first introduced them to me in 8th grade back in 1980 something. And as someone else mentioned, head to Ulta for a huge selection. I have the small pink travel set, by Conair I believe. Nice and compact and they heat up super fast.

After seeing the bounce in your hair I decided I must bet “hot rollers”. I have used them years ago like in the 70′s but had gotten away from them and probably sold my set a a garage sale. I have recently tried the flat iron (not for me) and always use a blow dryer and curling iron (I have 3 sizes). But that takes tooo much time and I never get bounce and curls. Until this week when I went to Ulta… I never knew there were so many sizes of hot rollers!! I bought me a set of Conair hot rollers… went home , heated those babies up, put them in, did my makeup, took out the roller and I was an instant Babe! And the bounce stayed in for 2 days!! It made me feel good about myself because I knew I looked good. I say give ‘em a try… if they don’t work take them back.

I love hot rollers. My hair would never get styled if it weren't for hot rollers! Occasionally I have enough time to use a flat iron, but not very often, so for the most part, I'm all about the hot rollers. I can't get hot rollers to stay in my hair. I never mastered that art. .-= deirdre´s last blog ..all i want for christmas…. =-. My hot rollers use these clip things which almost cover the whole roller, so my hair cannot fall out. Maybe that would help you, too.

I use a flat iron because my hair is very frizz prone and curly (not wavy, curly). On a regular basis I use my flat iron, but for special occasions I flat iron my hair the day before, and the day of – I also use hot rollers. You are right, it does give you extra body. It is amazing the difference when you don’t use half a can of aqua net to get it big like we used to do. :-) I just wish I had the kind of hair I could do it everyday. I love the idea of just putting in rollers and finishing getting ready. Great tip!

Kim– I wish I could get one of those flat irons to work for me. I just don’t have the patience! If I could use mine, then maybe I could have a few glamour moments when on vacation… the hot rollers are too big to pack!

I love hot rollers myself! But I’m wondering…do you have curly hair?
My teen girls have loooooong curly hair. The flat iron takes hours to get it straight!

I have been looking at hot rollers for a while; but with all the variety out there, haven’t made the plunge yet. What brand/type do you use?

Claudia– Mine were made by Jilbere de Paris and I picked them up at Sally Beauty Supply. They were the only ones I could find at the time.
