i can honestly say I pray more than I have ever before in this past 2 yrs of my walk with God. I have learned that prayer is HUGE and it can be simple prayers but to pray for those things that are truly needed not for OUR WANTS for only God can give what we need. I did find it heartfelt how Moses prayed for those to ask for forgiveness and wow, how we should do the same. Not to mention pray for those that have hurt us or pray for our own forgiveness for when we have hurt someone else (either through our own actions, or thoughts). I truly believe in the power of prayer

I am a newbie.. new with the internet (other than email)... I have been reading blogs and commenting! I am on target with my reading! I must admit, I read ahead this evening... couldn't stop. I seem to re-read (myself) the Commandments over and over again... Exodus 20:5
"Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the children for the sn of their parents, I punish the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of those who hate me."
and
Exodus 34:7
"I continue to show my love to thousands of people. I forgive those who do evil. I forgive those who refuse to obey. And I forgive those who sin. But I do nt let guilty people go without punishing them. I punish the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for the sin of their parents."

Help me to understand... It is my interpretation that innocent children with disabilities (autism, mental retardation, etc) are from a punishment from the LORD. Either I am guilty, my mother or father or my grandparents... Help me to understand...

I prefer a Bible specifically for this purpose which I have that gives a daily reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and a Proverb each day for each of the 365.

I am interested to see if many like the 90-day reading of the entire Bible. At my age, it's a little TOO fast for me though.
