Day 32 of the Bible in 90 Days
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 14:11
Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, “Lord, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O Lord, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you.”
Observation: Asa, recognizing that the odds were stacked against him, called on the Lord for help. He knew that without God his army would not survive, but with God on their side, they would be victorious, as they would be working to further God’s mission.
Application: Fortunately I haven’t been in a literal battlefield, fighting against a formidable opponent. But I am in a different kind of battlefield every day, choosing how to use my time and efforts and energy. And Satan loves to derail me from where I should be headed.
Relying on God, and recognizing that, and working to live in the Lord’s name will bring me the kind of victories God has in mind for me. He will accompany me and guide me in all my battles, should I just ask.
Prayer: Lord,There isn’t anyone like you to guide the powerless against the seemingly mighty. I need you to guide me in battle: the big battles and the little ones. I rely on you for guidance and support and in your name I wish to live my life. Help me hear your direction, follow it and be victorious for you.
And please show me, Lord, where I am not living for you so that I can change that.
Thank you, Lord for providing power to the weak who live for you.
And thank you Lord for your master plan. Guide me as I submit to it, and follow it with vigor.

Behind but still plugging along. Got rid of some commitments the last three days to free up more time. Found a NIV Bible at a second hand store for $1. It is the size of a novel so VERY easy to stick in my snack bag and have with me all the time and not worry about losing it plus the print is clear. It helps me to take it everywhere with me like Amy or Toni recommended (probably both).
