B 90 Days Week 8/ Day 50 Check In

WOW! Here we are at DAY 50!!!!

Stick a bookmark in your Bible and see how far we have come together… Pretty cool, huh?

Keep it up and it won’t be long before you will have read the entire Bible, cover to cover.

I am so proud of each of you for taking on this commitment and following through.

The reading ahead this week can be a bit challenging as we make our way through the books of the prophets. Be prepared to ‘press on’ after reading passages that you may not understand. Just keep reading and He will show you what you need to know when you need to know it.

Please check in by leaving a comment telling us where you are in the reading or linking to a blog post letting us know where you are in the reading (and linking back here).

Then join us on Twitter tonight from 8-9 CST to discuss the reading up through Day 49, or Isaiah 13:22.

A few things we’ll discuss tonight include:

  • Do you have any favorite Proverbs? If so, which ones?
  • Did any verses in Proverbs make you think of something differently?
  • Did Ecclesiastes open your eyes to any new perspectives on life?
  • A few different perspectives on Song of Songs

I hope all is going as well as can be for you and that you are enjoying this journey.

I’m a day behind :-( but I’ll catch up today (Tue) with some quiet time this afternoon.

Still a bit ahead, and really enjoying my daily time with God. Reading through Psalms and Proverbs this way put a whole new perspective on those books. In the past I have read parts here and parts there, but never the entire thing straight through.
Ecclesiates brought home the concept of contentment really strongly this time, a great reminder of where to seek and find my contentment.

I thought I pushed submit but maybe not. Sorry if this is a double. I am two weeks behind but family life has settled somewhat this weekend and will have more time to read on weeknights now. I know I will catch up!

I am two weeks behind, but still know that I will reach the end on time! My hubby finished his super crazy work schedule on Sunday so I hope to have a bit more time on the weeknights.

I’m a couple of days behind this week. I’m working hard to catch up, and excited to get into the prophets. I just started Beth Moore’s study on Revelation (which has caused me to get behind!) and am interested to read the prophecies revealed as I do these two things together. Great timing God!

  • jenb

Way behind. I read the whole of Proverbs yesterday.
    Trying to catch-up.

This week has been a lot easier than last week for me personally. I feel like things are starting to settle down a little bit. I currently about a day and a half behind, but should be caught up in the next couple of days.

  • Becky

I feel like a broken record but I am a few days behind. I was actually caught up for a few days last week but always seem to fall behind on the weekends. This coming weekend will included 13 hours in the car so I’m pretty sure I can catch up/stay caught up/maybe get ahead a little.

I’m still behind but catching up fast. I read the entire book of Job yesterday and I’m about a third of the way through Psalms right now. I’m working hard to catch up and finish on time.

I caught mostly up this past week. I’m usually a few chapters instead of a few days behind on average, but go back and forth. Liked Ecclesiastes and Psalms.

  • Tabatha

I’m still behind but I’m plugging through. I still have my goal of being caught up by Sept so slowly but surely I’m getting there!

I’m doing well this week…I have part of today’s reading finished so far, so I’m on track again.

  • Cindy G.

I did not check in last week. I was four days behind then. And I am ten days behind now. I had a terrible headache that lasted four days. The best time for me to read my Bible is at night right before I go to bed. But the medicine I was taking last week for the headache made me sleepy. But I will catch up. My husband is five days behind. And last week via email he thanked me for encouraging him to do the challenge. We have had several discussions about what we have read. And that is wonderful. We are seeing things that we have not seen before. And to make even more special, my husband works in another town three hours away. We are doing the challenge together so that we will have something in common to talk about. And this challenge is drawing us closer together. Need to close now. so I can read and get caught up.

  • Shannon

One day behind but purposing to catch up by tomorrow. I will be praying for everyone and for those who have requested specific prayer requests as well. May God continue to bless and strengthen each of us as we reaffirm our commitment to press on through the course of this journey regardless of where we are at in the reading!

    Abundant Blessings!

i have caught up once again. i hope i stay that way.

  • Dineen

Well I’m still a few days behind – I tried while on vacation – but most evenings I fell asleep while reading!! Anyway, I’m determined to catch up by the end of the week and stay on track to finish in 90 days. I found Psalms a bit tough to get through, loved Proverbs though. Hope everyone has a blessed week!!

  • Dianne

On day 49 so I’m a little behind. Catching up by the end of the week.

STill caught up, can’t believe it!! Isaiah is not making much sense to me…I am thinking that he was talking about historical happenings in the previous books in the bible, but also telling about future prophesies? Couldn’t quite understand. :)
    Thanks!
