Well, I goofed and was off on my beginning date (even though it was well publicized, early on I had it in my head that the 29th was the start date – oops). I was perfectly on track for when I started, but am catching up for the two days I am behind. I should be caught up in a day or two by reading a few extra chapters each day. I am proud of myself for making it this far though – not a huge accomplishment I know, but for me it is b/c I am horrible at starting things with good intentions then quickly losing interest or motivation.

    1. Way to go Renee! Praying for stick-to-it-ness!

  5. I have been consistently reading everyday, but I am still about a day and a half behind. I plan on making up the time and getting back on track this week.

Well I just finished week one. I will be starting today’s reading in a few minutes. It is a challenge for me to get the reading in every day, but I am really trying hard to do it.

I’m still reading but I am behind a couple of days behind. While reading I find I tend to get off track with footnotes and study questions.
I have followed the suggestion to record in a journal with my notes, insights and questions and this does help.
    Thanks

I did get a little behind but I will be caught up by tonight. I have always wanted to read the bible all the way through so this will be a great accomplishment.

Thank You for sharing this experience with me,

Good morning, Amy and all the other mommas! Just checking in and sharing that I’m on track, yay! I was able to keep up with the reading daily until Saturday which was packed with activities for my family, so I read zero that day. Fortunately, I was able to catch up on Sunday.

Like some of the others, I, too, am reading most days from my phone. This allows me to have the text with me almost anywhere. A couple mornings, I’ve been able to read 3-4 chapters before even getting out of bed. That has been helpful, starts my day off right and accomplishes about 1/3 of the day’s reading. Hope this tip can help others.

  18. Check in week 2 on track

Last week was rough and a totally abnormal week around here, so I fell pretty far behind in my reading. Hoping to get caught up this week as thing gets back to normal.

Miraculously I am caught up! I missed one day bc life happened as it tends to do so I just did what Amy suggested, I had my Bible everywhere!! I read on my phone so it isn’t that hard to always have! But I will say that I have done some things to help myself like I try not to jump on Facebook until I have read half the day’s reading and after the kids go down at night I read the other half before cruising Netflix :) some days I never got around to Netflix at all bc I would get into cool conversations with my hubby about what I am reading ;) My fave thing this week was after I got thru so many chapters about the tabernacle construction, that last little bit of Exodus, He fills the tabernacle with His glorious presence. So amazing that through it all and through all of our mess and screw ups, God almighty has always desired to hang out with his people! He didn’t make them do all that stuff to punish them so they would realiE they were a jacked up mess, No! He had then do that so there would be a way He could be close to them!! Awesome :) our God is a patient loving God who wants to be with is!

my take away from week 1 reading is I was very surprised how the Israelites were still reluctant to trust in God after he lead them out of Egypt. The questions asked and complaining….. But thanks be to God that Moses kept the faith and his obedience

I still have 2 chapters of yesterday’s reading to do, but will accomplish that this morning as I move into today’s reading! I was really behind yesterday and spent quite a bit of time reading. Every now and then, I’d call out to my kids something “new” I’d seen. Then late last night, I just couldn’t read anymore, and my daughter happened to see how far I’d come. Well, she started encouraging me, “You’re almost there!” and “Look how far you’ve come.” I had no idea she knew where I was supposed to be, and that is going to be my inspiration to NOT GIVE UP!! My kids are watching and cheering me on :)

  23. I am a little behind as I am traveling. Much easier to keep routines at home however I have a nice block of time today to catch up and even read ahead a bit to address the traveling schedule. Part of my problem is I hate to read with any distractions…a good reason to get up early and do it, I suppose! What I am reading is always on my mind and I love that.

  24. I’m here, I’m reading, and I’m doing much better at staying on trackthis year than the two prior times I’ve attempted this. I didn’t finish Sunday’s reading due to being away from home longer than anticipated, but I think I can easily catch up today or tomorrow.

It’s the start of week two. I got back on track yesterday. I’m going to read a little bit ahead in hopes that I don’t fall behind in the reading during the week.
