Bible in 90 Days: Week 5 (July – October 2016 Read-Through) #B90Days

Bible in 90 Days Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!

WOWZA! We have been reading together for FOUR WEEKS… one month down, only two to go. How’s it going for you?

I hope you are still holding strong, finding time to read…. Or should I say making time to read.

Summer is definitely coming to a close.

I’m seeing a LOT of back to school pictures in my Facebook feed. Two of my three kids start school Wednesday. Schedules are a changin’, my friends.

For some of you, this may mean extra reading time, for others, this may mean a big juggle needs to happen. Either way, hang in there.

I hope you are finding at least some reading time daily, whether that be one big chunk or a few nuggets and whether it means you are on track or not, I hope you are still moving forward, bit by bit.

This is a HARD challenge, my friends, but, once you finish, I can only imagine you’ll agree it is a worthwhile one.

The reading can be a challenge on a number of areas. There is the actual time it takes to read, but also, sometimes the content can be difficult to digest, too. Please use our weekly resources to make it a bit easier, and, also, don’t work so hard at understanding everything and making sense of it all so much as reading. Just take it all in. Keep reading. He will help you understand what you need to know when the time is right.

Leave a comment below this post on to let me know how it’s going. (If you get the blog post via email, please be sure to click over to the actual post and leave your note there so others can see your progress, too.) I’d love to know what your reading strategy is as we move into the fifth week. Do you read all at once each day? Do you read 2-3 times a week? 2-3 times a day? Share your tips for getting the reading time in and, of course, let us know if you are up to date.

You CAN DO THIS. It WILL be worth it!

Love,

Amy

  1. I’m 3 days behind, but still plugging along!! I started by feeling I HAD to read to at one time. That has since changed I find it much easier to break it up 2-3 times a day! I have some extra time on Wednesday in which I plan to catch up. Take care everyone:-)

  2. I’m on Day 20 reading (1 Samuel) when I should be on Day 29. I’m feeling defeated. Since I also read for one of my jobs….it is hard to get all my required reading in as well as this and I’m still dealing with an issue that is taking up a ton of my extra time AND still in the midst of construction chaos. Is this the Devil trying to trip me up? I’m reading when I can….staying positive and that’s all I can do right now.

    1. Stacie, I’ve been thinking about you a LOT since I saw this comment. I totally get it, or at least I think I do. I don’t think you’re alone, either. So instead of commenting here, I’m going to write a short post about it so others see it, too. Stay tuned. It will be live in just a few minutes.
And, even though I don’t KNOW you know you, I love you. HANG in there, sister. We’re in this TOGETHER!

  3. I’m still on track, but plans are changing. I was planning on starting back to homeschooling on 8/22. Instead I’ll be in FL belong my aging father downsize. In thankful for the flexibility we have and I’m going to do my best to stay on track while I’m there. I think I will just to keep my sanity!
