b90-check-in

Welcome to the Week 8 check in post for the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!

Today is our 50th day of reading, and our 8th weekly check in.
Does it feel like our time is flying by? It sure does to me! 50 days in the Word!!! Cha-CHING!!!

I’ve heard from a few of you that you are behind and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I TOTALLY get that. This is a lot of reading. It is a big commitment. Slipping a day or 3  and then getting caught up can seem like an insurmountable task. But you CAN do it– really. Even with super busy schedules, we all seem to make the time for what matters most. You just gotta do it.

Snag a few minutes to read:

  • as you wait for your kids to put their shoes on
  • as you wait in a doctor’s office
  • as you wait for the oven to preheat
  • before your feet hit the floor in the morning
  • as you wait on a friend to meet you for lunch
  • before you make your lunch
  • just after you do the dinner dishes
  • instead of watching TV
  • in the bathroom

You CAN find the time. It WILL be worth it!!

Have you (virtually) hugged your mentor lately?

Every person working on this project is a volunteer doing this out of  love for sharing the Word with you. (That includes me, too, in the event you were wondering. MomsToolbox is project of love, not income.) Every mentor is committed to helping you and reaching out to you. If you need help or encouragement, please send your mentor an email. If you have yet to respond to any of her emails, it isn’t too late… Send her a note. Let her know you are reading her notes. Let her know how you are doing and, if you feel like it, give her a big virtual hug for all her efforts and prayers for you. She wants to hear from you and wants to know how to encourage you. :)

Thank you, mentors!!

THANK YOU, mentors, from all of my heart. I could not do this without you. I really appreciate all you do for each of our readers… as well as your encouragement of me. THANK YOU!!

Ready to read? Here are this week’s resources

Download the following two sections of You Are Here in the Bible:

To prevent you from doing research where you have questions and take away from your precious reading time, Bible in 90 Days founder Ted Cooper wrote this resource to give you a bit of perspective as to what you will encounter in this week’s reading. If you have other questions, try not to research them, but just ask God to explain when the time is right and keep reading. If you must, keep a journal of all your questions to refer to once you have completed the 90 days of reading.

This week’s reading schedule:

  • Day 50 – Isaiah 14:1 – Isaiah 28:29
  • Day 51 – Isaiah 29:1 – Isaiah 41:18
  • Day 52 – Isaiah 41:19 – Isaiah 52:12
  • Day 53 – Isaiah 52:13 – Isaiah 66:18
  • Day 54 – Isaiah 66:19 – Jeremiah 10:13
  • Day 55 – Jeremiah 10:14 – Jeremiah 23:8
  • Day 56 – Jeremiah 23:9 – Jeremiah 33:22

Each day’s assignment will also be posted on MomsToolbox each day as well as as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can also download the Bible in 90 Days reading schedule or, if you are using the official Bible in 90 Days Bible, you already have it marked in your Bible.

Make it a point to read every day no matter what, even if you don’t have a block of time, read something. Carry your Bible with you everywhere throughout the day until you get your reading finished. Plan on it taking about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes per day.

Thanks so much for reading with me. Your reading encourages my reading… and the hundreds others, too, no doubt!

Please check in!

Leave a comment below this post and let us know how it’s going. And drop your mentor a note if you need anything.

XOXO

Don’t give up! I have fallen three weeks behind, but I’m determined to finish this. Reading the Bible all the way through is the goal. It’s okay if it takes longer than the 90 days. :)

      1. Hang in there, Sharon– you have a great attitude!!

    2. Oh Noooooo.
      Hang in there!
Can you read two times a day for 20 minutes each? Perhaps set that goal for one week and see what happens….
Also, please reach out to your mentor and let her know.
      We want to support you!

I have enjoyed the journey so far. It has been difficult but I have heard God speak to me during this time. He wants me to slow down.
I was praising Him during Psalms, learning about relatonships during Proverbs, trying to figure out the seasons of life in Ecclesiates, falling in love in Song of Solomon, and now Isaiah. Hearing God’s word has been a.blessing to me. Thank you again for this site.

    1. Aaaahhhhh, Terrie, your words are a salve to my soul. Thank you for sharing this with me. :) I’m so thankful for YOU!
