Beef Stroganoff
This comes to us from Emily who writes:
One of my family’s favorites is beef stroganoff. This is a recipe that
my parents made when I was a kid…and it’s so quick and inexpensive
too.
Ingredients:
1-Beef Rice a Roni (generic works well)
1-Stroganoff sauce packet (Durkee and McCormick’s…haven’t found
generic for this)
8oz sour cream
1 lb hamburger
Directions:
Brown the hamburger
Prepare Rice a Roni following the package directions
(I usually do these at the same time.)
When the rice is done, mix the stroganoff sauce packet (following the
directions). Mix the stroganoff sauce, sour cream, hamburger, and rice
a roni in one pot. Leave it on the stove on low to medium to heat it
through…this will also thicken up the sauce.
We serve this with regular canned biscuits.
