Group 32 Bible in 90 Days Check In

Hello all!

My name is Kristin and I am your mentor. I want to encourage you on this incredible journey through the Bible in 90 days.

Please take a minute to fill in this form. Your responses will automatically be inserted into a spreadsheet with a timestamp so you can check in every day if you want, or just once a week is fine.

Also, feel free to add any comments below. You may need to scroll down a bit to see them. It would be a great idea to bookmark this page and check in throughout the week. The more we all share the more we can encourage one another.

I have sent you all emails with the email addresses that you reported when you signed up for the challenge. You can expect an email from me at least once a week so please watch for it. There are still a couple of you that I haven’t heard from yet.

Feel free to email me any time.

Happy reading!

Yeah!! I finished reading the whole Bible!! My husband and I went out to celebrate tonight with a nice meal and ice cream! I am so glad that I stumbled upon Mom’s toolbox! The Word of God is so amazing, uplifting, and a continual life long journey. It was nice to share this experience with all of you. Thanks Kristen for being our mentor.

I’m in 1 Peter!!! I really can’t express how much this has encouraged and sustained me. Excited about finishing but nervous about the next 90 days. Definitely want to keep up the momentum.

    Hi girls,

I really enjoyed the gospels, John especially….rich with awesome teaching and truths…almost too much to take in at such a fast pace!! I’m really enjoying Acts so far as well and can’t believe that we are so close to the end of this journey. I can truly say that I will miss it and I’m praying now that God will keep me in His word on a daily basis once this “checklist” is over. Praying for everybody in this group!!

  • Rachelle

I made it to Matthew last night. I know I’m really far behind but I’m still reading as much as I can everyday.

  • Dana

Yeah for the new testament!!! So glad to finally be in it! I have a whole new respect for the Old Testament and it truly changed my view on Jesus. SO FUN! I can’t believe it’s already been 70 something days. yeah!! congrats to everyone on getting this far and praying for our group to finish strong! :)

  • Laura

Still a few days behind….but still reading. Hope to finish the Old Testament this week. I’m really looking forward to the New Testament.

  • Jehan Corbin

By God’s grace, I’m still on track this week and soooooo thrilled to be in the New Testament!! It feels like I’ve been waiting literally thousands of years to finally meet Jesus!! :) Busy week here with family coming in town, both of my childrens’ birthday party and my husband left for DC this a.m…..but, it isn’t spring break here. Praying for all of us—-and especially those who are dealing with the break in routine with spring break this week!!

  • Rachelle

Getting closer to back on track but still behind.

    • http://www.thesolomonstory.blogspot.com Kristin S.

Yea!!! I’m so glad. I know you can do it!!!

  • Laura

Still behind by a few days, but just as determined to finish!!

  • Jehan Corbin

Still on track, thankfully and loved, loved, loved the book of Daniel. My son’s middle name is Daniel and I spent a lot of time while reading through that book praying that he will be a man of prayer and faithfulness and complete trust in the Lord, just like the Biblical Daniel was. It was a special few days of prayer for me, specifically for my precious son.

Headed into an unusually busy couple of weeks with out-of-town company, kids’ birthday party, extra committments at night, etc. so, please continue to pray for me. I’m really trying to get a day or so ahead in my reading to give me a “cushion” if I need one. I’m praying for all of you!!

Hope it’s been a great week readers!! You’re really making progress and the end is in sight. Keep reading and know I’m praying for you!!!

    Hello,
I’m a little behind…about 2 days to be exact. Somewhere 2 weeks ago I didn’t read for a day or two & I’m still trying to catch up. I AM reading everyday though and so I have faith that I’ll catch up and not get bogged down in being behind. Like Jehan, I’m trying to focus on what I’m reading and praying before I begin that God will help me read with an open heart and the endurance I need to finish. Isaiah 40:31 has always been a favorite of mine and I think of it now as we all try to complete this task and grow closer to God in the journey.

You are right to not worry about 2 days. You will easily be caught up, just keep reading! Great job!

  • Dana

Hey Girls! Well, it’s been a little crazy around here, but by God’s grace I’m on target! I am with Jehan that I’ve sort of just checked off my reading through Isaiah and Jeremiah, but thankfully I really enjoyed yesterday and today. So pray that my excitement will come back to stay and that God will teach me no matter what! I’m totally getting to know God in a new way through this challenge and I’m already challenging lots of friends to do it the next time! We aren’t having much luck with the house on the market, but we know it will all happen in God’s timing or maybe not at all. So be praying for a peace for me (while keeping the house clean with a 1 and 2 year old) and that I will give total control to the Lord. Good luck continuing to read everyone!

You’re doing great Dana! I hope the activity picks up on your house! Praying for you!

Leena, I’m soooooo very sorry about your friend, Maria, and will be praying for her family. We truly don’t know the number of our days, do we?? Easy for a planner like me who thinks of things far in advance to forget that simple fact…God may have (and usually does) other plans for my life and knows how many seconds I have left.

I’m still on track by God’s grace but, I have to say that Isaiah and Jeremiah have found me reading “just to get through it” and I’ve struggled to regain the initial fire and excitement I had for it. I did enjoy seeing the prophesies of Christ in Isaiah but, for some reason, the last few days, I’ve felt like my Bible reading was just another thing to check off my to-do list. I’m praying about my attitude and that God will meet me in my complacency and still transform me through His word. Also, sorry for the lack of comments from me over the last couple of weeks (but, I have been checking in, Kristin—I hope you’ve gotten those??) Just a busy month and I’ve not managed my time very well. Still praying for all of us and thankful for the accountability and community in our group!!

    • http://www.thesolomonstory.blogspot.com Kristin S.

I felt the same way about Isaiah & Jeremiah both times I read. Those are tough books, especially to run through at such a rapid pace. The smaller prophets are easier and the new testament is just around the corner! You’re doing great!

Hi there, I’m posting a goodbye check-in. I am not keeping up and not finding time to do this. I don’t see it as an enemy fighting me, but more God showing me how busy my life is already. While being in God’s Word brings me encouragement it also stresses me out to read it for this current challenge. I need to work on slowing down by pairing down before I can add reading 12 pages of the Bible to my daily schedule. That or just embrace that life is busy right now and I can’t do everything I want to do at the same time.I am interested in trying again in the future.

Prayer request: a friend and mother in a Playgroup I meet with died on Thursday.. completely unexpectedly from a ruptured artery. She was 34, a bright spirit, military wife of a loving husband often on assignment and mother to the sweetest 6 yr old boy who had her wrapped around his little finger. Please pray for the family in this shocking time. Thank you.

We’re sad to see you go! And I will definitely pray for you & your friend’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I cannot recommend the Kindle enough for this challenge. It has really motivated me because it has the percentage of the Bible read so far at the bottom. It is so fun seeing the number go up! :)

Glad you’ve found something that works so well for you!! Keep up the good work!

  • Kimberly Mason

hey girls! hope you are doing well! i’m still behind, but loving it. i love the 90 day pace even though i am behind. it makes everything come together so much better than a year long goal. off to read!
    love, kimberly

Okay, I’m with jehan! It has been a hard week for me trying to take in the geneologies, but thankfully I plugged along. I was excited to et to Esther today! I had the flu ALL week last week and my 1 year old had tubes put it and adenoids taken out. So it was really tough! Praise the Lord that he kept me disciplined and my sweet husband kept encouraging me! So I’m on track, but would love continued prayers. It is so obvious to see how Satan creeps in to try to take our time away. I hope everyones week is better this week!!! Thanks Kristin again!

  • Jehan Corbin

Happy to say that I’m on track this week but, it has been more of a struggle than previous weeks. Some of the genealogies and the recaps of some stories, I KNOW are in there for a reason but, I was having a hard time focusing and really taking it in last week. But, I’m trying to plug along and I am enjoying the process overall…and I also feel like it’s becoming more of a habit to sit and read daily for a chunk of time, which is a step in the right direction for me. Good luck girls—-God is on our side!! :)
