The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

Earlier today my oldest son (age 15) asked me if I had read The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick.

I had not. He had read it years ago.

And so he called up his friend who had borrowed our copy and asked her to return it. She did.

I decided I needed a break a few hours later and it was absolutely perfect.

The illustrations added to the intriguing story of hard work and dedication of several kinds.

If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. It won’t take long to devour. But I have a feeling it’s a story and adventure that will stay with me (and you) for a long time.

Happy reading!
