Please consider downloading a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/09\/romans-in-29-days-reading-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\">Romans in 29 Days Reading Schedule <\/a>and join in!<\/p>\n<p>Here is what I heard:<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Scripture: Romans 6: 16<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>Don\u2019t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey&#8211; whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Observation:<\/h2>\n<p>We are slaves of something. Is it sin or righteousness?<\/p>\n<h2>Application:<\/h2>\n<p>What do my actions prove me to be a slave of? How can I be sure to choose to be a slave to obedience and, therefore righteousness?<\/p>\n<h2>Prayer:<\/h2>\n<p>Lord, please guide me in my day to day actions. Send up a red flag when I am not honoring you. I want to be your slave, not sin\u2019s slave.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your grace and love and forgiveness, for those times I slip and fall. Thank you for your reassurance in verse 22 where you remind us we are set free from sin and have become your slaves. I want to follow you. I want to be your slave. Thank you for taking me with open arms.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0What stood out to you in today\u2019s reading?
