And it can only be reached through faith in God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> Trying to earn righteousness will not work. And perhaps it is even insulting if I am trying to &#8220;earn&#8221; it when I have already been given it through faith.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, I do find myself trying to earn praises from others on earth and yes, even from you. Sometimes I have to question my motives to be sure I am doing what I do for the right reasons. I want to serve you. And serve you because I love you, not because I want to earn anything from you. You have already given me the greatest gift. And my actions will not change that or get me a better spot in Heaven.
