Hi friends. I’ve missed you. I was so touched when several of you read Philippians with me, even though it had been quite awhile since we did any devotionals together. I’ve missed blogging regularly here, but it just has been too much for me to keep up with lately, as much as I hated and still hate to admit it.<\/p>\n

Life has been full over here, as I can only imagine it has been full for each of you, too.<\/p>\n

Parenting is full time. Serving as a wife is full time. And blogging, even when not posting so much, can be a bit full time, as well.<\/p>\n

But I’ve also had something else up my sleeve for awhile now and I think it’s time to let you in on the big secret.<\/p>\n

For about 2 and a half years I have been working with a brilliant mathematician friend on a project we think will rock the wine world. (I hope it is okay to admit that part here without sounding too arrogant.) Seriously, y’all, Mike and I have been consulting with tons of advisors all across the country and are now putting the finishing touches on our beta version of a wine app and website that will help regular people who don’t want to taste tons and tons of wines find wines they will actually like without any studying or pouring unliked bottles down the drain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sure, some people like the thrill of trying new wines, exploring new flavors, and learning from wines they do not like. Some people are well-versed in what to expect from different regions and different wine makers and know which critics’ palates are like their own. And then there are those who just want to open a bottle of wine and know they will enjoy it without any expertise needed. This is where our new app and website will come in handy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In time I’ll explain more about this, but for now I have to say that coming to this from the angle of being a regular person who was not educated on wine or tech and pulling resources from those two worlds to develop this project has been incredible. Really. I have learned so so so very much that I never thought I’d know and I love it. And, although this sounds strange and some of you won’t like this, I have to tell you that I have seen God’s fingerprints all over it.<\/strong> \u00a0Yes, really. I hope to share more about that in the future because the number of ‘coincidental’ meetings and occurrences has blown me away over and over.<\/strong> Now I just get a huge smile when a new one happens. God is pretty amazing.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, that’s a bit about what’s been going on with me. I’m sorry to have kept it from you all of this time, but I felt I had to until I was closer to launch. Now that we plan to launch in just a few weeks, I can’t keep it in any longer. It’s about to be GO time and I’m thrilled, energized, exhausted and terrified all at the same time. I’ll do my best to keep you posted, but the next few weeks hold tons of travel and tons of planning, writing, pitching, tweaking and LAUNCHING.<\/p>\n

If you can spare a prayer or two for me and my husband, Gary, as well as for Mike (my co-founder) and our families, I would really appreciate it. It’s been a full two years, and yet I think the adventure is only about to begin.<\/p>\n

Thanks for hanging in here with me, friends, even if the posts have been spread a bit thin lately. I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n
