I am behind in \u00a0my reading. And I don’t mean behind by a day. I’m, ummm… 10 DAYS BEHIND behind in my reading! Aaack!<\/p>\n

Today is day 18 and I’m still making my way through Day 8. Nope, I am not thrilled with myself.<\/p>\n

Sure, I have tons of excuses– we’ve been traveling, my mobile app\/ wine data business venture<\/a> has required a lot of extra work lately, my kids have had a lot of school work that needed guidance. But we all know what really has happened here.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I just didn’t make it enough of a priority to spend time reading my Bible every day. Because of that, I slipped behind on the reading schedule and cheated myself some quality listening and learning time. Ugh.<\/p>\n

So should I give up now and tell myself it’s not important? I mean, I have read the Bible, cover to cover a few other times.<\/p>\n

Should I just throw in the towel and start over another time when life isn’t so busy? Life is pretty busy right now.<\/p>\n

Uh, NO!! to both of those! Absolutely not. <\/strong>(And if you are in the same boat, I hope you feel the same way, too.)<\/p>\n

I made a commitment to myself and to God. I know I need this time with Him.<\/p>\n

I want<\/em> to read the entire Bible, and I know that reading it with you, my readers, will keep me on track if I am honest with myself, with God and with you.<\/p>\n

So, friends and accountability partners, I am waaaaaay behind. But I will catch up. I’m not giving up. I’m still reading, but I’m really going to dive in and catch up.<\/p>\n

Catching up won’t just magically happen if I just hope I catch up. Instead, my plan is to take action and be caught up completely by my next weekly post, this coming Wednesday, when we launch into week 4.<\/strong> I don’t want to lag behind for the whole session and be frustrated… I’ve seen that happen to people and then the reading becomes a burden rather than a gift. I want to approach each reading session as a gift.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyone else out there need to set a catch up deadline to meet so you don’t fall even more behind, too?<\/strong> If so, don’t be shy– let us know you’re in this with me and I’ll be praying for you. We can totally do this!<\/p>\n
