{"id":13719,"date":"2011-08-30T13:25:03","date_gmt":"2011-08-30T18:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vinesleuth.com\/uncorked\/?p=403"},"modified":"2011-08-30T13:25:03","modified_gmt":"2011-08-30T18:25:03","slug":"cellar-no-8-wine-reviews-stories-and-pairings-coming-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/cellar-no-8-wine-reviews-stories-and-pairings-coming-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Cellar No. 8 Wines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/with-Paul.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-404\" title=\"Cellar No. 8 wine reviews, stories and pairings coming soon!\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/with-Paul.jpg\" width=\"468\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last week I had the opportunity to meet with Paul Rydquist, the winemaker for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cellarno8.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cellar No. 8<\/a> wines.<\/p>\n<p>Not only did Paul share stories about winemaking, and let me taste his wines, but he also told me a bit about the history of the Asti Winery, which produces Cellar No. 8 wines.<\/p>\n<p>Cellar No. 8 offers Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and a brand new red blend of eight reds (Petite Sirah, Grenache, Merlot, Mourvedre, Syrah, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon) they call Ei8ht.<\/p>\n<p>Each of these wines sells for around $10 (often less!), yet each tastes like they cost much more.<\/p>\n<p>My favorites were the last four: the Cabernet, Merlot, Zinfandel and Eight, yet I found all of them to be quite good and much more complex than one might expect for $10.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be sharing more about the wines soon and pairing them with some simple, yet elegant meals, as well as sharing my interview with Paul on video, so stay tuned!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I had the opportunity to meet with Paul Rydquist, the winemaker for Cellar No. 8 wines.
