With yesterday being the first day of Lent, I intended to write and post this before then, but, well, it didn’t happen.<\/p>\n

So, here it is, on this second day of Lent, my plan for observing this season:<\/p>\n

Rather than give something up for Lent, I’ve decided to give more of myself and time to the Lord through prayer for the next 46<\/span> 45 days.<\/p>\n

Initially I intended to make a prayer list and dedicate more time to focused prayer and time alone with God. But today it occurred to me that I could share this experience and preparation for Easter with my children. (See, sometimes not posting on time has its rewards.)<\/p>\n

So I made a couple of changes to my initial prayer list, keeping my kids in mind. I plan to spend time with them each day leading up to Easter, praying for each of the people listed. If we miss a day, that’s okay. We’ll pick that person up on the following Sunday. (I hope we do pray together each day. But we are not perfect.)<\/p>\n

Wanna join us in prayer on these days? Print out the list, post it on the fridge, or your child’s bathroom mirror. Then, at dinner, or after toothbrushing (or whenever) pray away.<\/p>\n

And please, don’t push anyone off your already praying for list for this… these prayers are going to be in addition to those we already pray for.<\/p>\n

And, incase you are wondering, some of the people are being prayed for on birthdays or days special to them. That’s why the order may seem strange to you.<\/p>\n
