He gave each of his employees instructions about he work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. <strong><sup>35<\/sup><\/strong> So keep a sharp lookout! For you do not know when the homeowner will return-at evening, midnight, early dawn, or late daybreak.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Observation:<\/strong> We have been given instruction to follow the Lord&#8217;s commands and be prepared for his return, as it could come at any time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> Do not put off the Lord&#8217;s work. You cannot cram for this exam because you do not know when it will be, or wait until the last minute to &#8216;finish&#8217; this project. Prepare for Him always.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, thank you for this reminder that your work should come first. Your instructions are the ones I should follow always. And I must make time for you and your Word above all other things so that I will always be prepared and never rusty. I cannot put off reading the Bible, praying or studying or sharing your word, as I cannot be sure of when my &#8216;final exam&#8217; will be.
