Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Observation:<\/strong> Jesus knew what pain and suffering was coming and asked God to prevent it, if it was in His will.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> It is very humbling to me to see a bit of Jesus&#8217; human side. He knew what was ahead and he didn&#8217;t really want to endure what was coming. Yet he knew that God&#8217;s will was more important than his human desires. And the perfect godliness in him empowered him to submit fully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to dwell within me. Please guide me to call on the strength of that when I am worried, questioning or concerned.
