\nIf you are reading with me, today we are on Proverbs 14.<\/p>\n

I’m a little late in posting, but I pray you are still keeping up with the reading without me. :)<\/p>\n

Today’s Reading: Proverbs 14<\/h1>\n

Using the SOAP devotional method<\/a>, here’s what I heard this time…<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Scripture: Proverbs 14:23<\/h2>\n

In all toil there is profit,<\/p>\n

but mere talk tends only to poverty.<\/p>\n

Observation:<\/h2>\n

Don’t just talk about what needs to be done. Do what needs to be done.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/h2>\n

This one is pretty easy:<\/p>\n

I have a lot of ideas. Ideas are great. Implementing them, however, is how I will see progress.<\/p>\n

I think He is reminding me to keep my head down and continue focusing on my work, getting done what needs to get done.<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/h2>\n

Thank you, Father, for this reminder to keep my focus and get my work done. Talk about ideas is great, but, as you remind me, that’s not going to accomplish much without action.<\/p>\n

Please guide me in keeping my mind focused where it needs to be and my actions as they need to be, too. There’s still a lot of work ahead. Guide me in getting the right things done.<\/p>\n

Thank you, Lord, for caring about so many aspects of my life and sharing your wisdom. I love you.<\/p>\n
