\nIf you are reading with me, today we are on Proverbs 17. (Remembering what to read in the Proverbs is as easy as remembering the day’s date when you read them with me.) That being said:<\/p>\n

Today’s Reading: Proverbs 17<\/h1>\n

Using the SOAP devotional method<\/a>, here’s what I heard this time…<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Scripture: Proverbs 17:28<\/h2>\n

Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;<\/p>\n

when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.<\/p>\n

Observation:<\/h2>\n

It’s better to stay quiet than to babble. You’ll look smarter if you just keep your mouth closed rather than spout off.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/h2>\n

I typically don’t spout off on things I don’t know much about.<\/p>\n

This reminder is still a good one in this era of so many people trying to position themselves as authorities.<\/p>\n

If you are one, go for it. If you aren’t, educate yourself before you speak.<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/h2>\n

Lord, thank you for this reminder to speak on what I know and keep silent when I do not. Thank you, also, for showing me how to find wisdom and encouraging me to chase it and achieve all I can.<\/p>\n
