\nGood morning from jolly old England\u2014or actually from the skies above England.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m writing this from the airplane as I\u2019m heading to London and hope to post soon after my arrival there.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not one who feels she has much in the form of enemies, and yet this Psalm still spoke to me. There are times, though, that I feel evil lurking, nagging and stealing my joy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me;<\/p>\n
Fight against those who fight against me!<\/p>\n
Stand up for me, O Lord and fight my battles.<\/p>\n
Like I said, I\u2019m not one who feels as though I have a sea of enemies. I do know that there is evil out there against me, though. In fighting that evil and in standing up for myself and the truth, I know I need Him to fight my battles and show me the way.<\/p>\n
I am weary at times. And even when not weary it would be hard to outsmart any kind of enemy without Him. I need to continually lean in Him and ask Him to fight my battles as only He can.<\/p>\n
As I mentioned above, sometimes I feel as though my joy is being stolen in little remarks or instances. I need to turn to Him at those moments, too. He will fight those battles for me, as well.<\/p>\n
Lord, I love you and I trust you. Thank you for standing up for me and fighting against those who fight against me. Please keep my path straight and eliminate the obstacles in it. Please continue to guide me in your truth and strengthen me in proclaiming that truth.<\/p>\n
Thank you so much for protecting me and keeping the enemy away from me. Please, Lord, continue to do that.<\/p>\n
