{"id":16682,"date":"2017-04-29T18:41:25","date_gmt":"2017-04-29T23:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=16682"},"modified":"2017-04-29T18:41:25","modified_gmt":"2017-04-29T23:41:25","slug":"visiting-the-fearless-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/visiting-the-fearless-girl\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting the Fearless Girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was in New York City yesterday for a meeting and fortunately I was able to tuck in a few meetups with friends I adore (and who energize me!!) as well as a quick trip to &#8216;meet&#8217; a fearless girl&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_0901.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_0901.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"796\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16681\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_0901.jpg 550w, http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_0901-207x300.jpg 207w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI LOVE this new statue of the fearless girl staring down the famous bull in NYC!<\/p>\n<p>And of course I had to ask someone to snap a pic of me with her.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Watching all the other women taking group photos with her was empowering in its own way. I felt like we were all celebrating our sisterhood as women&#8230; and it was gorgeous.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I had to laugh, though, when a mom of a young girl insisted her daughter take off her bicycle helmet and stand in a particular way. The daughter had her own opinions about the photo and would not comply. I had to inwardly side with the daughter on this one&#8230; she was expressing her own spirit!!
