Searching for true rest?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scripture: Matthew 11:28<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Then Jesus said, &#8220;Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Observation:<\/strong> Jesus wants us to go to him and to lean on him. He will give us comfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> This sounds simple. But it takes full faith to really work.<\/p>\n<p>I can feel pretty weary at times.<\/p>\n<p>I must go to him completely, not halfway, not even most of the way, and he will guide me, change my perspective and give me rest.<\/p>\n<p>I would bet full trust leads to total contentment&#8230; and all the rest I need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, I want the rest and refreshment I can only gain from you.\u00a0 Please guide me in leaning completely on you and not on me or the world. Then I will fully enjoy the beauty of rest from you.<\/p>\n<p>Help me to evaluate my actions and motives&#8230; and look toward you, lean toward you, serve you and not serve this world. I want your rest!
