It’s Wednesday. We’re in Luke and it is Day 10, my friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our reading for today, Day 10, is Luke 4-7.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I pray that this is all sounding rather familiar to you as we read this third account and that different parts are striking you in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Luke 6:45 kept echoing, even after I passed it and even after I finished reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”<\/p>Luke 6:45, NIV

I’ve mulled over that one in the past. It is pulling me still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want my words to be life giving…. always. For my words to be life giving, I need to fill myself with life, with truth, with love, so that<\/em> is what overflows out of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father God, you are truth, you are life, you are love. I want you to rule my life. Please always direct my path. Keep me focused where I need to be. Lift distractions away from you. Thank you for your love, your direction and the opportunity to see you in so many ways. Thank you for reaching out to me, for loving me, for giving me opportunities to fill myself up so much that I overflow with your love. Please, please guide me in that path… and in staying on that path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
