And you can&#8217;t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Observation:<\/strong> God&#8217;s gift of salvation is exactly that: a pure gift, given freely without cause. I didn&#8217;t do anything to earn it or not. He just gave it to me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> Isn&#8217;t it amazing that the most important &#8220;achievement&#8221; of life is not an achievement at all? Eternal life with Jesus Christ and our Father is not anything we can earn. It can only be &#8220;achieved&#8221; by no doing of our own. It is a gift bestowed by the Father himself. I can&#8217;t do anything to earn it. I can&#8217;t take credit for gaining it. It is a free gift to accept.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, thank you for your gift.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for freely sharing it with me.<\/p>\n<p>So often things on earth are competitions and so often things on earth must be earned.<\/p>\n<p>But here it is: the most important thing of all and you chose to give it to me freely. And with that you have given me a beautiful, inspirational relationship through which I can learn more and more moment by moment, just by opening my heart and listening to you.<\/p>\n<p>Lord, thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for giving me the one single most important thing, life in paradise with you as and forgiveness of all my sins.<\/p>\n<p>The most important thing in life really is free.
