{"id":2122,"date":"2009-08-28T06:26:30","date_gmt":"2009-08-28T11:26:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=2122"},"modified":"2009-08-28T06:26:30","modified_gmt":"2009-08-28T11:26:30","slug":"soap-an-undeserved-curse-does-not-come-to-rest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/soap-an-undeserved-curse-does-not-come-to-rest\/","title":{"rendered":"SOAP: An undeserved curse does not come to rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scripture: Proverbs 26:2<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,<\/p>\n<p>An undeserved curse does not come to rest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Observation:<\/strong> Behaving honorably can help keep some bad things from happening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong> Today we are in chapter 15 of <em>The Power of a Praying<\/em> Wife and are praying for our husband\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n<p>As I thanked God for on Wednesday, my husband acts with integrity. This quite nicely feeds into today\u2019s prayer. Because he continually acts with integrity, people know it, and he has a positive reputation.<\/p>\n<p>This verse does not mean that no evil will ever come our way, but acting with integrity lessens the chances, keeping undeserved curses and reputations from taking hold.<\/p>\n<p>I am thankful that G\u2019s positive actions are strong enough to be understood by those with whom he comes in contact.<\/p>\n<p>As I said before: No, he is not perfect. We are all sinners. And we all need Christ to keep away the evil one.<\/p>\n<p>But good behavior and a positive (deserved) reputation sure make things easier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, thank you, again, for G\u2019s integrity. And thank you for enabling those around him to take notice of his good works and pure intentions so that he also has a positive reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Please keep evil away from G so that an undeserved curse does not come to rest. Guide him in continuing to make sound decisions. Keep away the evil one and his deception.
