{"id":2128,"date":"2009-09-01T15:06:38","date_gmt":"2009-09-01T20:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=2128"},"modified":"2012-01-07T11:53:44","modified_gmt":"2012-01-07T17:53:44","slug":"lemon-cheesecake-bar-disaster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/lemon-cheesecake-bar-disaster\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Cheesecake Bar Disaster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aaaargh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s539.photobucket.com\/albums\/ff360\/Momstoolbox\/?action=view&amp;current=lemoncheescakebardisaster.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/lemoncheescakebardisaster.jpg\" alt=\"Lemon CHeesecake Bar disaster\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was feeling like such the model mom a few moments ago.<\/p>\n<p>(That\u2019s when you need to watch out, I think!!)<\/p>\n<p>My daughter and I had just baked a yummy pan of lemon cheesecake bars and slipped them into the oven. Then she settled down for a sweet nap. My wonderful cleaning ladies were transforming my home in to an oasis (Okay\u2014well as much as it can be. I t certainly feels like one when they are here to me&#8230; and for a few hours after that.)<\/p>\n<p>The kitchen was filled with a beautiful lemony scent and I knew all of my children would really enjoy the surprise of such a yummy after-school treat. Plus, my husband loves lemon bars, so he would be happy, too.<\/p>\n<p>Then the timer went off.<\/p>\n<p>And I took the pan out of the oven.<\/p>\n<p>And the bottom hit a burner as I lovingly placed the pan on the stove to cool.<\/p>\n<p>And then the entire pan spilled out onto my freshly-cleaned stove.<\/p>\n<p>(Yes, it was clean. But that also means that there was probably some sort of cleaner residue. I know what you are thinking. I thought it, too.)<\/p>\n<p>So, no lemon bars for a treat today.<\/p>\n<p>At least my v<strong>ery<\/strong> kind cleaning ladies insisted I NOT clean up the mess. (This after we took spoons to the mess for a sample. I WILL be making this recipe again.)<\/p>\n<p>After they laughed when I took pictures off the carnage, I showed them my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2008\/08\/18\/using-those-kitchen-appliances\/\" target=\"_blank\">failed Blueberry Loaf <\/a> attempt. Since then I&#8217;ve made many delicious (and pretty) ones.<\/p>\n<p>I think I\u2019ll try again the next time they are here and make two pans\u2026 and send them home with one!<\/p>\n<p>Until then, I am cheesecake lemon bar-less.<\/p>\n<p>Hmmm.
