Day 46 of the Bible in 90 Days<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Scripture: Proverbs 16:3<\/strong><\/p>\n

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Observation:<\/strong> Do whatever you do for God and it will actually happen, and happen well.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/strong> This verse used to puzzle me because I didn’t understand what it really meant to commit to the Lord what I was doing. It does not mean to simply ask the Lord to guide you and grant you success. I believe it means to seek the Lord’s will and align your plans with God’s plans, working toward His glory. Then you will see His mighty power and then you will find true, beautiful success.<\/p>\n

I have had the privilege of experiencing this type of true success and the joy that comes along with it.<\/p>\n

And I have also had to reign myself in and check\u00a0 my objectives from time to time.<\/p>\n

I want to work for Him. And as I do that, He should receive all the glory. And I have learned that giving that to him and working for him is much more exciting than claiming any false victory for myself.<\/p>\n

Committing my plans to Him has been exciting. Witnessing the success has been amazingly overwhelming and humbling… And I really like it! It has much more meaning than any success I could claim for myself.<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, thank you for using me as you have and as you are. Please, Lord, continue to allow me to hear you and be your instrument.<\/p>\n

When I get in the way, as I sometimes do, please, Lord, continue to remind me whose path I am following and guide me in stepping aside.<\/p>\n

I want to work for you alone. That success is so much sweeter than any other I can imagine.<\/p>\n

Lord, for those who struggle with this verse, help them to see you more clearly and want to work for you alone, too.<\/p>\n

And where I am missing some of the meaning of this verse or any, please enlighten me as I need it.<\/p>\n
