{"id":30,"date":"2008-07-05T18:41:03","date_gmt":"2008-07-05T23:41:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/momstoolbox.wordpress.com\/?p=42"},"modified":"2008-07-05T18:41:03","modified_gmt":"2008-07-05T23:41:03","slug":"please-release-me-of-my-fears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/please-release-me-of-my-fears\/","title":{"rendered":"Please release me of my fears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin:0 0 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">Today in my reading I came across this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin:0 0 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"><strong>Hebrews 2: 14-15<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin:0 0 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">&#8220;14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death- that is, the devil- 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin:0 0 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">My fear isn\u2019t so much death as pain. And this fear grips me all too often. I let it control my experiences and steal my joy. I fear violence (both intended and unintended) to me, my family and those I love. And I cannot get past it. Yes, I know God is sovereign. And I should just have faith. And I do know that he will see me through whatever comes my way. But I don\u2019t want to hurt. How can I get past that?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin:0 0 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">Please, Lord, release Satan\u2019s grip on this part of my heart. Make him let go. And let that fear be replaced only with your love. I am missing out on so many of your blessings because I worry about the possibility of something bad happening. I don\u2019t want to be that way. I have struggled with this for too long. And now I worry that I have passed it on to my son.
