Today’s Reading:<\/strong> Psalms 16-17<\/p>\n Scripture:<\/strong> Psalm 16: 4 (partial)<\/p>\n The sorrows of those will increase<\/p>\n who run after other gods…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Observation:<\/strong> Those who put other things above God and ‘worship’ them will find sadness and sorrow.<\/p>\n Application:<\/strong> It is so easy to think that I only worship God and do not run after other gods.<\/p>\n But what else do I allow to get in the way of my relationship with God? What do I have to do while God waits for our time together? Am I allowing that other activity or thing to be worshipped before God?<\/p>\n Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, please guide me as I allocate my time and energy so that I am worshipping you alone and living my life with the priorities you have set for me. Forgive me when I check off other less-meaningful tasks and push aside prayer time or study time with you and make you wait.<\/p>\n Just this morning I justified to myself why I should answer blog emails before coming to you in prayer.<\/p>\n I should have started with you, first. I am sorry, Lord.
