Application:<\/strong> I wish I could truly embrace this verse. I am not a total worrier, but I am a bit of a worrier.<\/p>\nI want everything to go well so, all too often, I worry about how I’m doing something wrong, questionable things I’ve done, and I worry about bad things happening to my family, friends and self.<\/p>\n
My son is growing into a worrier and I try to calm him with this, when he questions me on things:<\/p>\n
“Do you trust that God is in control?” I ask.<\/p>\n
Of course he always says, “Yes.”<\/p>\n
“Well, God created me to be your mom, and he gave me what I need to know to do that job, so you\u00a0 have to just let me handle it and not worry, okay? Trust me,” I say.<\/p>\n
“Okay,” he’ll say.<\/p>\n
I continually pray that I can embrace that for myself.<\/p>\n
God is in charge of me. I trust Him. I need to stop worrying so much and just pray, listen and follow.<\/p>\n
Prayer: <\/strong>Lord, forgive my second-guessing and worrying. Please guide me to embrace this vers and make it my own.<\/p>\nI do not want to fear bad news, or even the idea of it. Instead I want to have a steadfast heart, continually trusting in you. Please guide me to that end.<\/p>\n
Thank you, Lord for never letting me down. I am sorry for my fears. I do trust you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
