I love to get all dreamy-eyed and talk about my favorite memories…<\/p>\n
Sometimes it makes my husband a little crazy.<\/p>\n
Every time we drive near where I lived as a child, I start getting all nostalgic. I talk about eating Jelly Bellies and dots during sleepovers, getting my braces tightened, riding in the back of my dad’s pickup truck with my friends, screaming “I love rock and roll…” or “Girls just wanna have fu-un” at the top of our lungs after a basketball game, or my neighbor chasing me down on his Big Wheel. (And then I talk about the time we filled his mailbox with firecrackers on the 4th of July.)<\/p>\n
No, everything in my life hasn’t been perfect. There is some icky stuff, too. But we don’t need to talk about that right now.<\/p>\n
I’d prefer to linger in all those beautiful memories God has granted me.<\/p>\n
And I bet I’m not the only one.<\/p>\n
