From my journal this morning…<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m having such a hard time picking one scripture for today. What do you want me to take away from this morning’s reading? Am I having trouble because I’m thinking of what others might think? I need to focus just on you and on me. What is it?<\/p>\n

Scripture: Hebrews 6:1 (partial), 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

“1<\/sup>Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…”<\/p>\n

“3<\/sup>And God permitting, we will do so.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Observation and Application:<\/strong> (These kind of ran together today.)<\/em> Is He telling me to step up? Delve deeper? How?<\/p>\n

I can understand how He would want me to really know Him-and by deeper study truly embrace Him. Is following this daily devotional\/ journaling habit what he is pointing to here for me or is he saying more? (Sometimes I write to me, sometimes to Jesus. Try your best to stay with me!!)<\/em><\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/strong> Lord, I struggled today to find the one scripture you had for me. Is this the one?<\/p>\n

Thank you for wanting a deep relationship with me-not just a fluffy, feel-good one. Guide me in delving deeper.<\/p>\n

Now I’m reminded of a book a friend of mine<\/a> suggested I read. (Love Your God With All Your Mind by J.P. Moreland<\/a>…. Okay, so the links and entire title of the book where not in my prayer, but I thought it would be appropriate to include them<\/em>.). Perhaps you are reminding me to open that book back up and really study, so that I can love you deeper and with my mind.<\/p>\n

Please guide me in that study and reading that I will come to know you further-and mature in my faith.<\/p>\n
