My eyes sting and I am in pain for quite some time after I finish with the cutting, wash my hands and flush my eyes.<\/p>\n<p>My eyes are even watering as I write this, a full 13 hours after my last onion-cutting experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last night, however, I cut an onion without the slightest bit of discomfort, <\/strong>as our foreign exchange daughter from Germany told me how to cut an onion without crying and it definitely worked.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Put water in your mouth and keep it there while you peel and cut the onion.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yep, just take a drink of water, but don&#8217;t swallow it, and keep it in your mouth until you are finished cutting.
