{"id":6448,"date":"2011-03-09T16:56:40","date_gmt":"2011-03-09T22:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=6448"},"modified":"2011-09-30T23:04:04","modified_gmt":"2011-10-01T04:04:04","slug":"thanks-military-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/thanks-military-families\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanks, military families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I tweeted about this today, but I think the message needs more permanence than a tweet.<\/p>\n<p>This morning my kids and I headed out of the house a little early and stopped at church on the way to school where we learned more about Lent and had ashes smeared on our foreheads in the form of a cross.<\/p>\n<p>As I went about my day after that, seeing a few others with smudges on their foreheads, symbols of Christ, I couldn&#8217;t help but to think how easy it is to be a follower of Christ where I live. I don&#8217;t have to worry about my personal safety as I proclaim Christ. I don&#8217;t have to worry as I share His love and proclaim His love.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not that way in so many other parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, military families, for helping to make that possible. Thank you for guarding our freedom of religion.<\/p>\n<p>And, of course, thank you to our Father for His eternal love and eternal gift.
