Seeing her again in person at Relevant in 2010 was like greeting an old friend I had known for years.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what Cheryl heard in the reading:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scripture<\/strong> &#8211; Luke 8: 26-56<\/p>\n<p><em>Cheryl opted to share her thoughts on the entire passage, rather than one scripture.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Observation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Although Jesus healed generously, willingly and out of love not everyone understood Him.\u00a0 Some rejoiced and others feared Him -driving away the one who blessed them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t want to be the one who receives God&#8217;s blessing and is afraid, waiting for &#8220;the other shoe to drop.&#8221;\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want\u00a0to run away from goodness.\u00a0 What kind of a life would\u00a0that be?\u00a0 How must God feel when we don&#8217;t understand His heart?<\/p>\n<p>I want to be someone who receives his blessings with open arms, in praise of His power.\u00a0\u00a0Wouldn&#8217;t it be amazing to truly understand how greatly God wants to bless us and to wait with anticipation for His goodness?\u00a0 It sounds like Christmas everyday!\u00a0 I want to live with the faith and assuredness of the woman who bled for twelve years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Father, thank you for your goodness.\u00a0 Thank you for the blessings you so freely give.\u00a0\u00a0May you open our eyes to see, our ears to hear and our hearts to feel the magnitude of your blessings.\u00a0 May we recognize you in all we receive and praise you for your goodness.\u00a0 Help us Lord to feel your hand in our daily lives, in the good and\u00a0not so good\u00a0moments of everyday and to know that you are God of all.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Cheryl loves the Lord and prays that He will be glorified in her imperfection.\u00a0 She currently homeschools four boys (three teens and a toddler).\u00a0 She is drowning in testosterone\u00a0but enjoying the journey.\u00a0 You can find Cheryl on her blog <a href=\"http:\/\/crispy-not-crunchy.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Somewhat Crunchy<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What about you?
