I felt overwhelmed with just the amount of information, but the one thing I kept hearing was how I am not wisely using the gifts God has given me. In the parable, the businessman gave each of his workers the minas to care for/invest/etc. while he was gone. He didn’t leave any out and in the same way He didn’t leave any of us out when he was designing us and giving us our talents. Sure, he may have given someone else more talents and I can promise you he gave out different talents {Michelle has a poignant post about this very thing here and why rewrite it when she did so beautifully in the first place?}. He did NOT forget me when he handed out talents. Lately I’ve been discontent. I know where my talents lie and yet I refuse to use them. Instead I am trying to shove my square shaped self into a round sized hole. It’s not working out.
