How else could I better slide the rest of it in there without my fingers?<\/p>\n<p>(Never mind that a spatula would do the trick, my fingers are right here.)<\/p>\n<p>Most often, this helpful taste leads to another, which leads to another and then, well, you get the picture.<\/p>\n<p>And of course it all starts over again when the cookies come out of the oven.<\/p>\n<p>But I think I&#8217;ve finally got this one licked.<\/p>\n<p>I stash gum in the kitchen. And when I pull out the mixing bowls, I pull out a slice of gum and suit up. I don&#8217;t just need the protection an apron can give me. I need to keep my mouth occupied, too, and gum can do the trick.<\/p>\n<p>It also works for curbing unhealthy snacking at meetings. Before I reach for a lovingly-made muffin or other treat I don&#8217;t need to eat, I stick a piece of gum in my mouth. I&#8217;ll admit, it doesn&#8217;t always work, but it sure has helped.
