The reading for Monday is John Chapter 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here is what I heard, and I promise it is not what you heard<\/em>:<\/p>\n

Scripture:<\/h2>\n

John 2: 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Observation:<\/h2>\n

Jesus very first miracle was that of turning water into wine at a wedding banquet. After doing that, his disciples believed in his divine power.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/h2>\n

Reading this just made me chuckle.<\/p>\n

“Really God? This is my<\/em> verse for today?” I said out loud to Him, “Thank you!”<\/p>\n

Since March I have been brainstorming about a wine blog. An unassuming, fun, casual place where regular people could exchange ideas and learn about wine together.<\/p>\n

But I have been struggling with how that matches up with my true blogging love, blogging here at MomsToolbox about reading the Bible. I don’t want to lead anyone down the wrong path. And I don’t plan to do so… VineSleuth Uncorked<\/a> will not glorify wine, but will share my adventure in learning about it and enjoying it more.<\/p>\n

And now I’m pretty sure my Father has told me that the wine blog is okay. It’s okay to mention my other venture here.<\/p>\n

I won’t be doing any cross promotions between the two blogs as I do between this one and MomsTravelTales<\/a>, but I don’t have to worry about leading two distinct lives.<\/p>\n

Today’s reading just made me laugh and smile and say “Thank you.”<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/h2>\n

Lord, I am still nervous as I type this up and share it with those you have brought to read and study with me.<\/p>\n

But I am encouraged by you.<\/p>\n

Thank you for that first miracle, and thank you for saving today’s passage for me. I am so thankful you didn’t allow me to assign this one to any of our guest SOAP’ers, but saved it for me to share.<\/p>\n

Please continue to guide me in keeping MomsToolbox as you intend for it to be. Please also guide me as I build VineSleuth, that it may also be honoring in its own way.<\/p>\n

PS: The second part of John 2, where Jesus clears the temple of those selling things, also made me smile as I knew He was talking to me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
