{"id":8288,"date":"2011-06-26T12:00:19","date_gmt":"2011-06-26T17:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=8288"},"modified":"2011-06-23T08:03:47","modified_gmt":"2011-06-23T13:03:47","slug":"guest-post-what-one-mentor-found-in-reading-the-bible-in-90-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/guest-post-what-one-mentor-found-in-reading-the-bible-in-90-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Guest Post: What one mentor found in reading the Bible in 90 Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I first saw a something on Twitter about reading the Bible in 90  Days, I was intrigued. \u00a0I had started several year-long reading plans  but had never completed them. \u00a0Something always came up: a move, kids,  work. \u00a0I could never make it through a complete year. \u00a0How did I ever  think that I could read it in 90 days?<\/p>\n<div>I decided to  give it a try, and what I found was so much better than any other plan I  had tried. \u00a0What I found was not just reading a book through. \u00a0I found  accountability and friendship! \u00a0I found that when I had to report that I  was on schedule or confess that I was behind, it pushed me to keep on  track. \u00a0This was something that I had never had with a reading plan  before. \u00a0I found friendship in my mentor, Cassandra, and we still email  each other.<\/div>\n<div>The main thing that I found was  truth in God. \u00a0Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I have read my Bible many times over  the years. \u00a0It just wasn&#8217;t cover-to-cover. \u00a0I found answers to many  questions that I had over the years. \u00a0Reading it cover-to-cover was a  whole new experience that I truly appreciate.<\/div>\n<div>Was  it easy? \u00a0Not always, but my mentor was there with me every step of the  way. \u00a0Of course, the most important thing was that God was with me,  leading and guiding me along the way.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>Naomi became  a Bible in 90 Days graduate in the Spring of 2011. \u00a0She and her husband  have two children whom they homeschool. \u00a0She and her family love to  travel, especially, to Disney parks. \u00a0Naomi blogs at <a href=\"http:\/\/homeschoolingdisneystyle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Homeschooling  Disney Style<\/a> and at <a href=\"http:\/\/pixieperfecttravel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pixie Perfect Travel<\/a>.
