{"id":8972,"date":"2011-09-14T07:00:48","date_gmt":"2011-09-14T12:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/?p=8972"},"modified":"2012-01-07T12:18:37","modified_gmt":"2012-01-07T18:18:37","slug":"menu-plan-for-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/menu-plan-for-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Menu Plan for this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/salmon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8981\" title=\"salmon\" src=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/salmon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"490\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/salmon.jpg 490w, http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/salmon-300x239.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 490px) 100vw, 490px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned before, I&#8217;ve just rejoined Weight Watchers and I am determined to be a good loser.<\/p>\n<p>To help make that happen, I am being much more intentional about what I eat and making modifications so I can lose that weight&#8230; and then keep it off.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what we will be eating this week:<\/p>\n<h2>Breakfasts:<\/h2>\n<p>For me, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/13\/easyfilling-breakfast-for-only-7-weight-watchers-points-plus\/\" target=\"_blank\">10 Grain Hot Cereal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the kids:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smoothies and Toast with Peanut Butter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Egg Tacos and Orange Juice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Breakfast out on the way to school (if all goes well!)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Waffles and smoothies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cereal<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>School Lunches:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Cheese sticks wrapped with ham<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>almonds and dates<\/p>\n<p>fruit<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grilled Cheese sandwich<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>dates or pistachios<\/p>\n<p>honeydew melon<\/p>\n<p><strong>Turkey rollups with cream cheese<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>apple<\/p>\n<p>dried fruit and nuts<\/p>\n<h2>My lunches:<\/h2>\n<p>Spicy Carrot Soup ( I make a batch and freeze individual portions.)<\/p>\n<p>Sushi from the grocery store<\/p>\n<p>Chicken lemongrass soup<\/p>\n<h2>Dinners:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pecan roasted salmon over wilted spinach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.parenting.com\/article\/honey-mustard-green-beans\" target=\"_blank\">Honey mustard green beans<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Couscous<\/p>\n<p>Fruit salad<\/p>\n<p>I have made <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2010\/09\/23\/spicy-sweet-and-simple-salmon\/\" target=\"_blank\">roasted salmon with a spicy rub<\/a> many, many times. This week my husband asked me to try try a new pecan rub he picked up at the store. We&#8217;ll see how it goes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peppered pork tenderloin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Garden salad<\/p>\n<p>Baked Potatoes<\/p>\n<p>Steamed Broccoli<\/p>\n<p>This is another very simple meal&#8230; I&#8217;ll even confess that the pork tenderloin is pre-seasoned, so all I have to do is pop it in the oven. I&#8217;ll use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/21\/baked-potatoes-in-the-crockpot-yum\/\" target=\"_blank\">crockpot for the potatoes<\/a>, which makes this a perfect meal for after a busy day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tacos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>chips, queso and salsa<\/p>\n<p>mexican rice<\/p>\n<p>black beans<\/p>\n<p>pineapple, apples and oranges<\/p>\n<p>I found the taco filling recipe on the Weight Watchers site and will serve it with corn tortillas to keep the Points Plus low. I&#8217;ll skip the chips, but the rest of my family couldn&#8217;t have tacos without them! I&#8217;ll also serve fat free cheese for me, the real stuff for everyone else.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Popcorn shrimp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(This is babysitter night, which means date night for me&#8230; Yipeee!)<\/p>\n<p>Macaroni and Cheese<\/p>\n<p>Apples, peaches &amp; melon<\/p>\n<p>Cucumbers and ranch dressing<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0What about you?
