\"\"<\/a>The reading for today (Tuesday) in the Proverbs on 31 Days<\/a> is Proverbs 8. Here is what I heard using the SOAP<\/a> format:<\/p>\n

Scripture: Proverbs 8: 17<\/h2>\n

I love those who love me,<\/p>\n

and those who seek me find me<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Observation:<\/h2>\n

If you want wisdom, it is there for you to have. Just seek it out.<\/p>\n

Application:<\/h2>\n

I love how simple God makes this. It is as if He is saying \u201cI want you to be wise and I will make you wise. You just have to love it and chase after it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simple, right?<\/p>\n

Loving wisdom means truly wanting it. And truly wanting something means you are willing to spend some time and effort attaining it.<\/p>\n

The beautiful thing here, though, is that if you do truly love and want wisdom it can be yours. There\u2019s no risk in trying because God tells us that if we pursue wisdom, it will be ours.<\/p>\n

If wisdom can be attained just be seeking it out, then why do I put it off?<\/p>\n

Wisdom can only help my life and the lives of those around me. It will help more than anything else. And yet I am tempted to by so many other tasks each morning, putting of my Bible study and prayer time until things are \u2018just right.\u2019<\/p>\n

Hmm. If I just pursue that wisdom first, He will give it to me. And then everything else just might be a tad easier… or at least it can be pursued in the proper perspective.<\/p>\n

Prayer:<\/h2>\n

Lord, thank you for this promise of wisdom. All I need to do is pursue it and it will be mine. Sounds to me like this is a gem of wisdom right here!<\/p>\n

Please, Lord, help this verse come to mind when I am feeling lost, frustrated, down and distracted. Guide me in pursuing your wisdom, true wisdom, first.<\/p>\n

And then please, Lord, guide me as I make my way through decisions to be made.<\/p>\n

You know I need you.<\/p>\n

Thank you.<\/p>\n
