If you are reading the <a title=\"Are you reading the Proverbs in 31 Days with MomsToolbox?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/01\/are-you-reading-the-proverbs-in-31-days-with-momstoolbox\/\" target=\"_blank\">Proverbs in 31 Days<\/a> with me, today (Saturday) we are reading Proverbs chapter 12.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what I heard using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.momstoolbox.com\/blog\/what-is-soap\/\" target=\"_blank\">SOAP <\/a>method:<\/p>\n<h2>Scripture: Proverbs 12:11<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>He who works his land will have abundant food,<\/p>\n<p>but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Observation:<\/h2>\n<p>Those who diligently work toward their goals will achieve them.<\/p>\n<h2>Application:<\/h2>\n<p>Do you want to be closer to God and more in tune with his plan for your life? Be diligent about reading his word, praying and meeting with Him.<\/p>\n<p>Do you want a family that is connected and shows love to each other and others? Work towards that goal.<\/p>\n<p>What is it you really want from your time on earth? What do you think God has in mind for you?<\/p>\n<p>Ask him. Listen. And then work diligently towards just that, rather than just dreaming about it.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, I want to achieve lots of things. But I have to be realistic and realize I can only be diligent in working on a set amount. Also, I need to work my land, not someone else\u2019s. God has different plans for each of us. Rather than chasing my fantasies, or those of someone else, I need to meet with God more about my priorities and His plans for me. Then I need to be diligent on those things.<\/p>\n<h2>Prayer:<\/h2>\n<p>Lord, thank you for this reminder to be diligent in my work&#8230; and that I have limitations. I can only do so much well. Please guide me as I continue to restructure my priorities and work towards those things you have in mind for me.
