Do you dream of travel?
I know I sure do… and I love to make it a reality, as well.
Over on my family travel site, MomsTravelTales.com, I’m hosting a giveaway of the latest edition of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die for three lucky readers.
This book is quite a listing of spectacular destinations worldwide, with an amazing collection of cites right here in the USA. I’ll be visiting one of them with my kids before the contest is even over. (You can click over to see which one, if you’re curious.)
1,000 Places to See Before you Die is a great way to not only build a dream list of travel destinations, it’s also a great way to share geography with your kids in a very real way. Flip through the pages, pick a site to see, locate the destination on a map or globe and talk about what a trip to that spot might be like. You could even talk about what the people who live there might be like and plan how much a trip there might cost.
On MomsTravelTales I list a few of destinations mentioned in the book that I’ve visited with my family. There’s even a link over there to the time I bungee jumped in New Zealand. (Yikes!!)
