We’re one week into our 21 Days to Calm. How is it going for you?
I started using a small notebook on our first day of this 21-day period to record the day’s verse and my thoughts about it in the morning. As a result of taking the pause to really think and pray about these verses, as well as writing them down, I have noticed that I have been able to stay calmer under pressure and have felt more peace than frustration. I’ll count that as a big win! I hope that you have experienced something similar.
Ready for Day 8? Let’s GO…
Read:
Day 8: John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
WRITE:
Take time to write the verse out on paper. Use your own journal or even a scrap of paper. Just write it down.
REFLECT:
Jesus doesn’t give fragile, fleeting peace—He gives His own steady peace. Can you think of the last time He gave you peace? What was the situation?
PRACTICE:
Before checking your phone in the morning, or jumping into anything else, whisper: “Jesus, fill me with Your peace.” Then remind yourself of a time He left peace with you and how you felt.
I’d love to know how this is working for you. Please drop me a note to let me know.
