Share your gifts. (You do have some!) Luke 16

Today’s reading is Luke 16.

Please accept my apologies in not posting yesterday.

Here we are on Wednesday, though, and here is what I heard in today’s reading:

Scripture: Luke 16: 11

So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

Observation:

Use the gifts you have already been given well. If you do not, then how can you expect to be given more?

Application:

We need to use just what we are given to the best advantage. No matter how ‘poor’ we may feel, each of us has gifts that can be used to help others and glorify God. We may have monetary gifts, we may have personality gifts, we may have knowledge gifts. Whatever our gifts are, we need to use them and use them well.

(Guess I should have squeezed in a bit of time yesterday to use my gift of publishing and share my SOAP!!)

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for giving each of us gifts that can work together to glorify you. Please help each of us, especially those who feel lost, or as though they have no gifts to share, to have the ability to recognize the gifts we do have and use them.

What about you:

What gifts do you have that you can share? Are you wise with the treasures God has trusted to you or are you squandering them? How can you do a better job in sharing your treasures and His love?
