B 90 Days SOAP: He can use anybody with faith

Day 5 of the Bible in 90 Days

Scripture: Exodus 3:11-12 (partial)

11But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12And God said, “I will be with you…”

Observation: Moses wondered how he was to carry out the assignment given him by God and God answered that God would be with him.

Application: God doesn’t seek out those to use who will be doing their own will. He seeks to use individuals who will let HIS power shine through.

Prayer: Lord, you have done so many amazing things through those who were normal, average people… except their faith was sure and they gave up control to you. Please guide me in stepping aside and not getting in the way in any manner you choose to use me. I am yours. Don’t let me stop you with my ego or own will– your will is much better!

Thank you for using me in the ways you already have. Please don’t let me mess it up! I want to be your instrument.

I have been behind but now am caught up! Found much I had forgotten or missed in first couple of times thru. Thankful He doesn’t forget or miss.

  6. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them. Ex. 2:25

Isn’t that so exciting, so amazing, so awesome, even shocking and absolutely wonderful that ELOHIM, God our Creator ACKNOWLEDGED them. I mean seriously people, the fact that the one whom spoke and BAM everything came into existence ACKNOWLEDGES anyone is truly a miracle!!

  8. Moses seemed to ask that “Who am I to do this?” question quite a bit…he didn’t have the confidence that God had in him.

  9. My favorite line from this reading is when God says “I am who I am” (or something like that). Talk about thought-provoking.

Today’s reading completely made me think about the fact that the Lord truly does not NEED us…He will use whoever is willing to accomplish His plan — and then THEY are the ones who will receive the blessing! Moses made excuse after excuse — and even though he was blessed, Aaron was the one who was able to perform miracles in front of Pharaoh….if only Moses had believed that the Lord would give him what he needed…if only I believed that the Lord would give me what I need…

  11. Amen! Reading Miriam’s prayer today reminded me of singing “The Horse and Rider Song” at Bible Camp 2 decades ago. Good memories.
