#B90Days Week 3 Check in, Linky & Resources

Happy Labor Day!

Read on for resources for this week’s reading and other info to help YOU read the ENTIRE Bible with us in just 90 days. (Yes, you can do this.)

Will you relax today and lounge through your reading or are you frantically trying to catch up? Or did you read ahead over the last few days because you had a lot planned for today?

What’s been your biggest struggle so far? And what has surprised you most about the reading so far?

Wherever you are, I am super proud of you for making the commitment to join us. Over the past 2 weeks I’ve received a few notes from the mentor team sharing that a few of you have decided to drop out. These first few weeks are tough. Satan doesn’t want you to do this, so you have to know that he is putting boulders in your way wherever possible. If you have thought about quitting, think about why you are really quitting before you make that decision. Are you quitting because you don’t have time? If so, what are you making time to do instead of reading your Bible for about an hour daily? Is that really more important?

Sure, I sound a little tough there. Each of you is at a different place in your life. But I know women at all stages and chapters of their lives who have pushed through hard and easy times to read the entire Bible with us and have been thankful they did not give up, even when massive obstacles challenged them. Even if you have only read one day’s worth of the reading, I’d like to encourage you not to give up. Schedule a few marathon reading sessions, and plow through this. God really is on your side here and can you doubt that He wants you to spend this time with Him?

The reading right now is a little dry for many. Please just keep reading and let those words wash over you.

Don’t focus on understanding everything. Just let the words wash over you. He will explain what you need to know when you need to know. God is powerful like that and this is not a study program, it is a reading program only.

For a little perspective, though, check out the You Are Here in the Bible resource developed by Bible in 90 Days ministry creator Ted Cooper.

Check in

Have you checked in with your mentor this week? Checking in with her is a required part of this program. That’s the only way we can hold you accountable and,  encourage you. And, as I’m aure you can imagine, accountability is a huge factor in many of our grads’ success.

You may also leave a check in comment here to communicate with me and all the hundreds of other readers reading right alongside you. I’d love to hear how you are doing.

#B90Days on Twitter

Feel free to tweet out your progress and encourage others anytime by using the #B90Days hashtag. We will not have a Twitter party this week due to Labor Day. The weekly Twitter parties will resume next Monday at 9 Eastern/ 8 Central, hosted by Julie of Dutch Being Me. There is another #B90Days group that wraps up this weekend. If you see their tweets, encourage and congratulate the finishers.

  1. I’m still behind from vacation! Home now so I’m going to get caught up!!

    1. Vacation can be tough for reading! I’ve spent a lot of time in hotel hallways while my family slept.. and also had lots of catching up time after trips, too. :)
      Hang in there!

  2. I’m still behind. Expect to be behind for this whole month really… but I’m not giving up. Thanks for the post. Needed the encouragement. :)

    1. Just keep reading! Evey page you read is more than you would have, and every 5 minutes adds up! :)

I’m so excited to begin another week. This weekend threw me for a loop, but I pressed through and read every day. This morning, however, was another story. But I will do today’s reading by early this afternoon!

    Joshua, here I come! :-)

  5. I am caught up. Weekends always get me behind plus we are getting ready to move in two weeks. So it is crazy but I am loving the Chronological readings.

  6. OK so I am loving this but am behind. We have been preparing for a new family member that’s coming Tuesday. I expect things to take a little while to settle and then I’ll get caught up. I am not giving up.
